Default 2007 S80 transmission fluid level

Changed my Trans fluid at 130k. Exchanged quart for quart but I'd like to know if the level is correct. No dip stick on 3.2. Supposed to pull the plug on the side while idling. But all that happens is it sprays out all over the place.

Anyone have suggestion as to what I may be doing wrong?

Thanks

You're pulling the wrong plug thats why. If I remember correctly there is one plug you aren't supposed to pull, and im not quite sure if its the one you were taking off or not. Either way you have to fill the trans fluid from the top and run the car. Once the car is warm you pull the center plug at the bottom of the trans with the car running. Once the fluid stops coming out then the level is correct. The procedure is something like that ive only done it a couple of times but if someone wants to correct me feel free.
