I'm a newbie, so please be kind I'm looking for another set of rims for my Volvo 2009 S80 TC. It came with the Fortuna wheels. My understanding is that the bolt pattern is 5x108 with an offset of 45.

1. If i choose a wheel with a 5x108 bolt pattern, but has a 38mm offset, will this cause rubbing issues in the wheel well? My understanding is that a smaller offset will make the wheel go farther out.

2. If i choose a wheel that is 5x114.3, i understand that there are adapters. Does that also effect the offset if you buy that adapter?

I really like the ENKEI J10 (in Matte Black with machined lip) which has a 5x108 bolt pattern and a 38mm offset.

I drive about 100 miles per day. Thus, i dont want to worry about any tire rubbing on the wheel wells.

Does anyone have any experience in this matter?

i wouldnt mess with the offset your only supposed to go in a difference of 5mm without making too much of a problem. i just got myself a new set of rims this past week. the adapters i wouldnt recommend either i wanted to do that too because i had found some really nice inexpensive rims but i just kept looking
