Unhappy 2010 Volvo S80 3.2 L FWD / ISSUES…..PLEASE HELP!

The cooling fan stays on after driving my 2010 Volvo S80. I need to know where I can find the fuse and / or the cooling fan relay so that I may stop the fan from draining the battery, until I am able to get it to a mechanic. Any amount of help will do. Post videos, or images of its location if possible. I have searched everywhere, and found nothing that shows a resolution to my issue. I took the vehicle to a matcha ice, and was told that they knew nothing about this car. PLEASE HELP?! I need this vehicle for transportation to and from work! Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.

The wiring feeding the fan should have a connector, just unplug it.
If you unplug or pull the fuse then it might overheat during city or stop and go driving.
So a better short term idea is to un plug it when you get to your destination and plug it back in when you head out.

Thanks! One more question….. Do you know where I could find either the fuse that operates the cooling system fan, or the wiring that controls the fan? I checked the owners manual and it told me that it’s in the fuse assembly that is located near the engine. I searched and couldn’t find this fuse at all.

...the owners manual should tell you which fuse panel - try the one near the battery. Look again. It's in a box, you'll have to remove a cover to get it and there's more than one boxed thing under the hood.

Hopefully by now you have found the fan wiring or the fuse. If not, 'in desperation' remove the - negative terminal cable from the battery when you stop driving, and of course connect it again before you start your commute to work. Make sure you insulate it after you remove it, a couple layers of rag will do the trick. Best of luck.

Thanks guys. I ended up taking the vehicle to Volvo for diagnostics and repair. Cost me $1400 to get it done. They had to replace the entire radiator fan console. I am a bit sore over the cost, but the good news is I was given a lifetime warranty on the part. It sucks that I was unable to find a reputable repair shop that would do it for cheaper. A lot of the repair shops wanted to shy away from working on it, telling me that these cars are far too complicated to their liking. Despite it all, I am happy that the vehicle is in working order (at least for now, as anything could happen) and would more than likely end up choosing the Volvo service center for my future repairs….., seeing as though they seemed to be the only ones that knew what they were doing.

side note: One of the guys there wanted to talk me into trading this one in for a brand new one. I would have done so, with the exception of me just leasing this old boy just a month ago. He told me to come back after making 6 months of payments on this one. I think that I will take him up on his offer then. I’m just hopeful that this old boy holds up until then, being that this is a 12 1/2 year old vehicle.

Good to hear it's fixed even if it was $1400. Sometimes it's less money to keep the older car running even if it costs $300 to $400 a month, thats a lot less than a new one at $700 or more a month. Something to consider. The only thing is the inconvenience of time spent fixing the old one or taking it to the repair shop.
I recently spent a bit more than $7000 on my 2009 S80. I likely have another 100,000 or 5 years of mostly trouble free driving. Better than payments.
