10 months ago. Millie (my Volvo) got a new battery plugs and wires. Recently she shut off while driving. Had her towed to a garage. They said it was the alternator. Had a new one put in. A week later all of a sudden she didn't have any more power. I was told she likely needed the PCV replaced a gasket and an O2 sensor. However, when I look up all of the codes, the most common theme I see is circuit problems fuses and defective wiring. I can't afford to get ripped off and just keep throwing money I don't have at a problem no one seems to put the big picture together & there isn't a Volvo dealership in the area I live in.

Because most of these errors are electrical, i would confirm your battery is getting charged by your alternator. They could be false errors due to lack of voltage. A charged battery should show over 12 volts, and a alternator will bring that up to around 14.0 volts. Hopefully you have a voltmeter to check this. If not, you can get them fairly cheap and its always good to have one around the house.
