Cool 4T65EG/V Shift Kit

After extensive research, I have found out that you can actually install a homemade shift kit in these car for just $5 in parts bought from Home Depot! This is the link and write-up I essentially followed. http://home.pacbell.net/chris-5a/DIY...uid_change.pdf Once the pan is dropped, just follow the instructions to a T. I did this yesterday, and I noticed a great improvement over stock. This should be a must for our cars! Please add this link to the stickies!

interesting. Kinda defeats the purpose of the smooth ride, but if it can prolong the clutch life in a T6 it mightn't be a bad thing.

That said I'm not sure if the clutches are the issue....anyone care to chime in?

It's not neck snapping shifts, but it seems to be an improvement only on the first two shifts. It's perfect, even when you do their version of the "hard" kit. It's hard to explain well. This will greatly improve clutch life, which is the weak point in these trannies!
