Default ABS & TCS lights

Hi all - great site, very helpful. I have a couple questions. I have a 99 S80 2.9, wife's car. She said the ABS and TCS lights have come on recently while driving but when she turns the car off and back on they are gone. Later that day or it may take a day or two and it will happen again. Also, I'm getting a ticking noise from the fuel injectors. Is this hard or expensive to fix. Thanks so much!

Most likely the ABS module is bad.
The ticking might be normal if it is only from the injectors.
But if it is from the lifters the oil pan o-rings might be bad.

I used an automotive stethescope and the valves seem quiet, very loud out of the injector rail - I'm wondering if this can be damaging to one or more of the cylinders. It started showing up once or twice a week but is definitely increasing in frequency. The noise has not intensified, it's the same everytime it shows up.
Is there any way to test the ABS module when the lights come on without shutting the engine off. I'm sure dealer would say it is fine since they would not see anything when they start it except "That'll be $90 bucks, have a nice day!"

Search the ABS issue....I took mine off and had it repaired for under $70, the shops wanted 700 - 1000.

The injectors on all the newer cars are really loud from the factory.

If you had a good scanner then you would be able to test the ABS system.

ABS computer... you'll worry all about it but it's an easy swap...
