Default AC Trouble

I have a 1998 Volvo S90 with an AC problem. The AC works well at first but then when the car heats up, it stops blowing cold air. The mechanic says its a fan module. This fan module apparently controls the fan speed and is not kicking in to the second stage to keep the AC on. Does anyone know the part number for this so called Fan Module?

Your mechanic is correct about the cooling fan. You can check if it is working by letting the car warm up with the AC off. Wait for the cooling fan to turn on to cool down the car. Once this happens, click the AC on. If the fan is louder and does not turn off, then the switch is working. If not, then you need a new one.

Do you happen to know the Volvo part number for this fan module? The fan did shut off when I turned on the AC once the car was hot.

Thanks for your expert advice
