Default Adding A2DP Bluetooth to HU-801

Greetings, all.

My sweetheart has a 2003 S80 with the HU-801 CD player. I would love to add A2DP streaming Bluetooth functionality for her so she can listen to her Spotify and what-not from her phone in the car without stringing wires all over the cabin. We don't need phone capability--just streaming audio.

What is the feasibility of the following three options:
  1. Add a purpose-built aftermarket Bluetooth transceiver module to the CD changer port; I've seen a few on eBay, but am dubious as to their quality.
  2. Add an aftermarket auxiliary 3.5mm input via the CD changer port.
  3. A more circuitous route: replace the factory HU-801 head unit with a cassette-equipped HU-611; that way, I can at least use the cassette deck as an ersatz input for an aftermarket 3.5mm Bluetooth transceiver--I've had to do that on other cassette-equipped vehicles with no auxiliary input, though it's decidedly my least-favorite option of the three because more than a little fidelity is lost in the translation.
I'd really rather not swap the head unit and have to reprogram the car. Plus, the car is equipped with the cellular telephone option (which is incompatible with Verizon and now useless). God forbid I remove it; the car probably won't start.

So how 'bout it? How have you connected a Bluetooth transceiver to your S80?

Thanks in advance,

Gregory
