Thanks, tech. This guy is quite a professional. He fixed my module, and all problems have gone since I installed this rebuilt unit. I found in another forums that the problem is with the contacts inside the unit, bad quality of the board welding. Now all lights are off. I would defitely recommend Victor Roha's service to all who has similar problems.

Was your timing belt replaced as of yet?
Volvo says 105k but I would replace at 70k

As for the ABS module remove it your self and send it to this guy.
It is around $100.00 to get it rebuilt.

I'm about to put a 7" in dash dvd player in my 99 s80.I read on here that you have to get it flashed at the dealership if you replace the factory unit. If i disconnect the battery during the install for at least 30 minutes, then reconnect it, will the computer reset with the aftermarket cd player and all will be fine? Thanks.

Maybe if it dies all together. It is a module in a networked system.

Tech I just need your opinion. on the software for radio removal. I've tried download that software into that car and it worked and successfully remove the radio out of the vehicle configurations. But next thing I notice I tried to do an CAN network upgrade( it would not allow me to get the vehicle in to programming mode since it kept on telling me audio module not getting into programming mode... I dunno what to do after that (so I let the car go) any suggestions?

I just looked it up on my Vadis the software part # for the radio removal software is 9499067. If they download that part # that will remove the factory radio system from the car.

Never ran into that maybe a glitch in the radio software.
The Cem shouldn't see the Audio module anymore.

has anyone found a way around taking the car to the dealership to have the radio module removed after installing a aftermarket cd player? I called the dealership today and they told me it will be quite costly just to have the car flashed. I have a alpine mp3/cd deck.. a fosgate p3.. a 1600 watt boss amp and so far the installation seems to be around 200 and would like to have to deal with the dealership if possible

It should cost about 1 hour labor plus $30.00 for the software.

I hate to bring this thread back from the dead, but I put a new head unit in my S80 last week fully expecting the car to act up, and so far nothing has happened. Radio works fine, we have driven the car daily for about 8 days, and no trouble codes. Any ideas why? Car had the HU-801 that wouldnt accept disk.

Some cars are more touchy than others.
