Aftermarket Radio
2001 S80 2.9L
Looking to upgrade radio with a Navigation screen. I would like a double DIN to occupy the space and have a screen just a big. Something like this would be nice: http://shop.textalk.se/se/article.ph...17&art=2270945
Any ideas?

Bluepower has made the only Volvo specific after market head unit that I've seen. I can't say how good it is though, I've never seen one in person so I'd look into it a little more.
You can always check crutchfield to see what they have.

Be wary of swapping out the radio on the S80s. I say this from personal experience and from what the dealership told me the 2nd time I asked about if there would be issues (the first time they said there would not be any).
I ended up having to replace my ECU, and CEM to the tune of over $3,000 because the entire electrical network of the car routes through the factory headunit. Due to the fact that I put in an aftermarket stereo, the car couldn't communicate with itself and it really screwed things up. Only after hours upon hours of research, and 3 months of troubleshooting did I find out what was causing my problems. Sometimes there is a software upgrade that will allow you to "remove" the radio from the loop, but it only works on a few models, and from what the dealership told me, the S80 isn't one of them. Perhaps it was just my model year ('04) but I would stay away!
