I recently bought a 2007 S80, love the car but I was told by the salesman that it had satillite radio. I found out the nxt morning that it does not. I am looking for an aftermarket radio and having a tuff timing finding one that is compatiable. Has anyone swapped out their factory radio for an aftemarket??? Or know a brand that will work???

 

The problem is the radio is inline with other computer controlled devices (Volvo's are highly computerized). If you want Satellite Radio, it probably is prewired and you just need to buy the receiver for it.

A Volvo dealership can probably look up the VIN and confirm for you and you can get the part directly from them.

 

I would go by a local Auto Audio Shop, they deal with this kind of thing all the time. Best Buy also installs Radios in cars too.

 

Good luck with that. It took a long time for me to find a place that would even touch a Volvo outside the dealership. The same goes for newer MBs and BMWs, too many computers that are interlinked.
