Last night the alarm on my s80 2002 went off 3 times. Today when used on fob (it has been dropped a few times it didn't work). I tried my newer fob it worked but the lights flashed a few times when I opened the vehicle. Also, after locking the vehicle my lights automatically came on front and back then went off while I was in a convenience store. I replaced my horn siren and latch. However, my wife did drive the car with the hood latch open a bit a few days ago and pretty sure she used the fob to lock the car.

I've had the car 2 years and their was a time when the key would only lock the drivers side door.

Now it appears that I have alarm issues and the cars lights are acting weird. Any advice. Should I try the manual reset by taking off the battery cables. Or by turning key manually back and forth?

Any advice is welcomed.
