I had the dealer program the auto lock feature due to the fact my wife forgets to lock the car. It is a little crazy it will not unlock the car automatically. My chevy truck is self programmable to unlock with the trans in park or when pulling the key out.

Any way for some reason the car locked me out while the engine was running. I had left the office, jumped in and started it up, pulled up a few feet then jumped out to get something I had forgot and left the engine running. When I returned entry denied. I normally keep a spare set in my briefcase which was on the pass. seat. I have the laminated safety glass but had left the windows down just enough to use a rod to lower the window.

Oddly enough the first time we took the car into service the car was driven around and the keys were in the switch, locked out again. This time we had our other set. Has anyone else had these issues, I am worried about being stranded now.

My other issue is sometimes autolock works and other times it doesn't. I have tried different things like using seat belt to see if certain things have to be in place before it will work. No pattern.
