Best replacement car 4 a 2000 s80 wih "issues"?
first off it has to be a volvo
Seccond i am not looking at new i am looking at used
I am looking at no more than 14,000
I got my s80 with 34,000 4 14,900 so i think that is reasonable price to pay 4 a volvo
So what would be the best (last me till 150-200 thousand miles) because this obviously will not

You know what that is a tough question. My daughter has a 99 S80 that is a great looking car that she only paid a little over $13,000 for more than a year ago. Only 40K on it and it's a T6 with every option. She has had quite a bit of trouble and was going to get rid of it. The problem was there was nothing she liked even close as much as she liked that car for under $22K.
I personally stay away from 99-01 Vovlo's. So that leaves you with spending more than you want to spend or getting something that is getting pretty old now. You can definitely get real good 98 S/V70's for quite a bit less that what you want to spend. I have read where the 98's are considered some of the best Volvo's made. Personally I lked my 94 better than my 98. The jury is still out on the 97, but so far so good.
I would go for spending less money and look a the 98 V70 or S70. I have one that I really like. Try to find the T5 or the R because they have all the high end accessories. I would also stay away from the AWD models because that is just more to go wrong. I don't know if you can get the 98 R w/o AWD though. If you go up to 02 or newer you are going to be over $20K most likley.
Hope this helps.
