Default Boost controller?

I think I am having problems with my TCV. The car fluctuates at mid throttle. Thought maybe it was the ETM but when you shift into 2nd or 3rd the fluctuation remains. I am planning on adding a boost gauge later this week so I can see if it matches the fluctuation, but in the meantime was wondering if I can simply replace the TCV with a manual boost controller, and set it to stock levels. Any imput would be appreciated.

Do you know if you already had the software update done by the dealer? You may also want to remove your throttle body and clean it out with TB cleaner. It tends to get carboned up from the PCV hose. Although normally that just effects lower rpms.

The ME7 cars do not like MBC's the computer still sees the over boost and cuts it back.
