2001 S80 T6 2.8 46000 miles. I get a check engine light code 1171 and 1181, car seems to run fine 26/14 mpg. seems the light comes on after fueling on hot days with a/c on at idle or low speed. I have turned off the light with the diagnostic plug in tool that I have, recently I have left the light on and after about 8 starts it goes out, the light came on again last night not to hot outside but a/c on at low speed. Also my idle is 850 and some times its 700 at idle.Cheers

 

Well as I have been told, the codes retrieved with my generic reader are not correct 1171 1181 on my reader indicate O2 sensors. I went to the Volvo dealer in Napa Ca. the codes read fuel bank trim. I have to say I'm impressed with Napa Volvo, I went there to get a gas door hinge 16.00 and installed for free. I have a new repair shop to take my business.
