Default Check Engine Light

Hi everyone...Check Engine light just came on...can't see no problems, except,on the bottom of the air filter compartment...there is a gaping hole where I suspect something was covering it...alot of air is going into the compartment....and dirt as well, would this cause the light to come on?
Thanks
Mark

Gotta start by pulling the OBDII code. If you have an AutoZone store they will rent you a code reader or they will read it for you.

I had to replace a throttle body on a 2000 2.9

About $550 (for the part) and 15 min effort (by me) to swap the part out.

I've got a thread somewhere on here with a link to where I got it.
