I am purchasing a 2000 S80 T6 and am wondering what the governed speed is on it? when does the speed restrictor kick in? Thanks in advance!

 

I found on one web site that speed limiter is set to 150 mph...

 

Just took my car out to the racing strip (the road in front of my house) it and found out that the limiter is actually set at 130 mph. So, if anyone was still wondering, that's what it is...and I'm assuming that all S80s that are factory shipped to the US are the same.

 

There is some software somewhere on the net you might be able to find the part#.Then you can have ot downloaded and it will change it to 160 MPH.
