Default Daytime Running Lights

All my lights stay on, not just the front. I know this is normal, but how can I turn these off? I don't mind having lights on during certain times. but not all. I have see on the web, ways to cut a cable or by using a little screw below the light switch. Is this feasible? Or is the dealer my only hope.

Me myself I would have the Dealer do it.

You have my curiosity peaked! Why do you not like your daytime running lights?

I just want to be allowed to have a choice. Running "ALL" lights just seems like over-kill. I wouldn't mind just the head-lights.

That is a fair enough answer. Thanks for the reply!

Pretty late here, but I was browsing through the forum here at work and thought Id add that having those lights on is also bad for your gas economy. In Japan, when they pull up to a traffic intersection, they all turn their headlights off, even at night. When we asked them why they did this, that was the response that we got. I thought it was interesting, and would turn off the daytime running lights, just to give it a try (by switching to the parking lights), but would always end up leaving on the parking lights once I turned off the car haha Oh well.

Keep in mind, having your lights on has statistically proven to lower accidents. As a truck driver, I am required to keep my lights on at all times while operating the truck.
