DICE clone not seen by VIDA2011D?

DICE clone not seen by VIDA 2011D?
Hello everyone,
I thought that the next step as a shade tree mechanic would be to play with DICE. I bought a clone with VIDA 2011D on the internet for about $150.
I installed it on a windows 7 laptop under window virtual pc running xp sp3. That is the part that makes me look like a hero. Now for the other part. When I set up profile with vin number, trans, body and left steering, it does not see dice tool. I ran dice software to test the dice tool and it said DICE-206751 connects and tests OK.
Any thoughts?
