I have the VADIS for 1999 to 2005.
For anyone else who has this, is there somewhere, in the VADIS, a list of the DTC codes versus a definition for the codes?
If so, where is the list located. Have done many searches and can't find such a list.

Do you mean a P-code list to the Volvo codes?
If so no they only have Volvo codes there.

 

Are you saying they only list Volvo specific codes? i.e. not generic emission type codes?
In any case, Volvo specifc code list would be ok since I believe my code reader would give info about generic codes.

The Volvo codes are in the information manager then diagnostic then DTC's

Go to the engine page > Diagnostic information > General diagnostics and tests. Now to topics > 20 general > Conversion tables standardised diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)/Volvo diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) > Continue.

You now have a list of P codes with the Volvo equivalent.

Do the same for the gearbox.

 

WOW Thanks I didn't even know that was in there. Go figure I have been using it on and off for about 10 years and never knew that.

 

It does not work for all models or even some engine variations in the same model. Only Volvo knows why it was done that way.
