about a monthago i received a message from ym volvo that said i needed to fill up on coolant, so i did. 2 days ago i receive the same message and thought it was kind of weird since i had filled uo the coolant only about a month ago. when i opened up the hood i noticed not only that my coolant was pretty low, but also that all over parts by my coolant tank were these mineral marks, (kind of like if water dries on a spot it leaves spots), except these were very heavy and very white. also when i opened up my coolant tank, at first it looked as if it had little coolant in it, but when i loosened the lid, the tank de-pressurize and filled up to about half way. any advice?


oh ya my volvo is a 99 s80 t6

 

Sounds like the coolant bottle might be cracked on the bottom.
You need to get it pressurized to see where it is leaking from.
