Error code P1238

Error code P1238
I posted awhile back I have readwhere this is related to the turbo control valve.
2000 S80 T6, twin turbo (2.8L)
Replaced flywheel, replaced timing belt at same time (see post https://volvoforums.com/m.asp?m=122104). Had much difficulty setting timing. After setting timing correctly, car cranked and idled good. Took for test drive, ran sluggish, no turbo feel but ran well enough to take for a test drive. Accelerated to 5000 rpms, then car ran only at idle, cut off frequently. Had to tow it back to shop. Cleared codes, started again, only code now is p1238. How does this affect idle? Runs as if it is out of gas. Idles, but will not accelerate, cuts off, dies if left at idle. If feather accelerator it will continue to idle and can drive only at idle.

RE: Error code P1238
The hose that connects to the flow cooler (radiator for air, btw ac & coolant radiators) was partially off, not connected correctly, so this code was correct. What I did not realize was that it would go into "limp mode" where it runs just enough to limp home. This is what threw me. After connecting hose and clearing the code, it cranked and ran.
Now it is throwing a P1153 code.
Do you have any thoughts what/where/how to fix this?
Thanks.
Brad

RE: Error code P1238
Dave, thanks for the translation.
I went out to start the car two days back, and had inadvertently left the key on, so it was dead, and the deadness reset the codes, now it gives a p1133.
I take it for test drives each day to see if the codes are the same and the code has remained 1133 each day.
The turbo seems ineffective until the rpms get above 3.5k.
No low end grunt, would not pull out into traffic without lots of room to accelerate.
Acts like there is something keeping it from moving quickly.
Any sugestions are good.
It also had a bad coil which I thought may have thrown the code, but after replacing the coil it still is slow to go, though it is much smoother.
I'll start a new post because this has evolved from p1238 to p1153 to p1133.
Thanks.

I pulled a P1238 on my 2001 2.4l S60 turbo when it died, would not stay on or keep idling. Replacing the TCV did nothing. Replaced the fuel filter as well. Read about disconnecting the MAF (Mass air flow) sensor as posted by Tech. Started right up. Ordered a new MAF.
Thanks Tech for all of your input.
