I have a 2007 Volvo s80 v8 with 96k miles.

1.) Does this car have a timing chain or belt? I think its a chain but I'm not sure.

2.) I'm planning on towing another car with this car, but is this going to cause damage to my car in any way? Also its going to be towed 690 miles.

3.) My roofliner in the car needs to be cleaned, what cleaner do you guys reccommend to clean it with?

1. My guess it that it has a belt.

2. Do not tow cars with cars. They are to heavy.

3. Just use normal upholstry cleaner.

 

Hmmm, all the Google searches on the internet suggest that its a timing chain on the v8 and on the t6 and 3.2 its a belt.

 

Did you check the owners manual?

Our 09 S80 3.2 supposedly has a chain, maintanance charts show no mention of a belt or service? I would not tow a vehicle, can you even get a properly classed hitch for that? Febreze and vacuum the headliner and spot treat with upholstry cleaner as needed

 

Hmm the last time I used that cleaning solution on that type of fabric on my 01 s80 t6 and my 01 s40 it left a water mark type stain ... so that's what I wanna be careful on this one lol
