If you are experiencing the check engine lite, ABS lights, message center with "brake failure, stop safely ASAP, your ABS module may be failing. As with any repair confirm by checking engine codes first.

Volvo wil generally charge $1300, but I did mine (2001 S80) for $150.

Victor Rocha in CA repairs them, contat him at vicrocha@earthlink.net . I know--sounds risky but he's got a very good reputation for fixing these and he has great instructions. It's relatively easy to remove and re-install.

I had him fix mine and it works like new ($150 total including shipping and such.

bba-remaninc out of taunton mass. fixed my s-80 module for a lot less than 150.00, lifetime warrenty as well, I learned from a friend who found them on e-bay.

 

modulemaster.com did mine... works like a champ.

 

I had victor fix mine, but still getting the same errors. Anyone heard of these errors caused by something else, possibly confused as an ABS controller failure? stumped..
