I was driving my S80 today and all of a sudden the motor started to shutter as I accelerated and the check engine light started flashing?

 

I was driving my S80 today and all of a sudden the motor started to shutter as I accelerated and the check engine light started flashing?

 

Flashing Check engine light means it is misfiring.

 

How would I come about fixing this issue?

 

The heating and AC is not functioning at all. I've checked the fuses and there good. What could be causing this?

 

Either the spark plugs or coils could be bad you would need to have the codes pulled.

Any lights on the climate module work?

 

Current is going to the dash board but I'm guessing that there is something burned out on it cause the lights are not illuminating so im going to replace the whole climate control counsel. I found out the the hiccup on the motor was the spark plugs. Thanks for all the help tech

My s80 did the same thing. I can smell rubber burning. The heat is working. If it is the heater coil. Any idea on a ball park figure to fix it? Am i ok to drive like this?

 

The Ford/Chevy mechanic at wor has us shut the units off and have them towed if the light is flashing, states that damage is being done. They just had to replace the motor in one of the 09 Tahoes, due to someone not listening and driving it with a flashing light/miss...
