Hi, so what's the real deal with tranny and coolant changes? My local M-B/Volvo dealer changed trans fluid at 30k service, they said used full synthetic as experience showed that's best...

Volvo manual doens't state an interval, living in Southern heat, I have to think trans and coolant need some routine changes? What's your thoughts? BTW< I use 0w40 Mobil 1 every 5k.

Here is my thoughts.
The coolant should be done every 30k
The transmission should be checked at 50k if it looks dark it should be changed.
Unless you tow with it. Then I would change it every 30k.
