Does everybody use premium fuel with their S8O?

In NZ we have 3 grades

91 Octane (currently @ $1.679 per litre)
96 Octane (5 cents more than 91 Octace)
98 Octane (10 cents more than 91 octane)

I use 96 Octane for my S80 T6 because I think it represents best value for money.
extra 5 cents for + 5 octane.

98 Octane
Not worth spending an additional 5 cents for another +2 octane.

 

I run the highest octane available in Texas, 93.

 

same with me....I tried 87 runs fine, but when u use the turbo there is definately a peformance difference......I use 93 all the time, 20 cents more for a better product...thats the way i look at it... lol

 

True statement. That was also my logic. If I can't spare the extra 20 cents, then I'm not budgeting correctly! hahah
