Fuel flap not opening
When trying to refuel, the filer cap somtimes does not allow me to open the flap to expose the filler cap.
I managed to discover that if I go into the boot (trunk) I can remove the "vertical carpet" and get access to what appears to be a solenoid based security bolt holding the filler flap.
Could this have "gone bad" is there any cure other than replacement. If replacement any idea how much?

The motor is pretty expensive. That is almost the only fix.
If you don't care if it locks or not break the Tab off the door where the soleniod will lock onto.
