Default future problems?

I just purchased a 2000 s80 t6 with 115,000 miles on it less than 2 weeks ago. Seems like a great car so far, only a minor issue with the check engine light coming on when nothing was wrong. But after reading through all the forums about all the problems with the early model s80's, it makes me nervous now about many big problems i might come across..

I have a 2000 S80 (Non-Turbo) with a little of 60,000 miles on it that I have been extremely pleased with. I have only had one software issue which was resolved upon a reload of the entire software package (I highly recommend this for you if you haven't already had the software reloaded in your S80).

I do regular maintenance and beyond that have had no major issues.

Don't worry too much about your S80. It is nearly seven years old. Routine maintenance will kick in soon, so you'll be replacing suspension parts as they wear out.

Nurse it-you'll love the experience of driving it.

If the gas cap is left loose it will turn on the check engine light. There are a whole host of issues that can turn on the CEL. Do you have any way of reading the codes? That would really help.

You should have bought mine. I've been advertising it for awhile now. Mine only has 47,500 on it with a full bumper to bumper warranty. If you know of anyone else looking it's a 2000 S80 T6. Moondust in color. My number is 303-594-7287. Thanks.
