I hate for something bad to be my first post. But it seems like that happens alot. Ive got a 2000 S80 T6 with 70/k miles. On my way home from work today I started hearing a grinding noise comeing from somewhere directly infront of me. It only happened when under acceleration and in drive. does not occur while in N or P not moving. Anyone ever get this?

Side note: took the car for a drive after an hour of sitting and ran it though its paces, no noise now. No error messages ever poped up either. Besides that I love the car, fingers crossed!

Have the engine mounts checked.
Also have your timing belt looked at and make sure it is not dryrotted.

 

Did not see anything wrong with the belt or the mounts. On the way to work this morning the trans. light and the check engine light. Headed to the volvo shop at noon. Ill let you know what happens.

no good news to reply, only that im needing a new transmission. 2 weeks into owning this car, anyone have any suggestions?

 

Did you buy the car from a dealer?
If so try to get them to pay for it.Most of the time they give a 30 day warranty.
