halogen or zenon
1999 S80 non turbo, how can I tell if I have halogen or the xenon bulbs. I need to change the lens because of moisture but apparently at FCP there are two different lens depending on the type of bulbs.
Thanks

xenon lights have a white light to them. are you sure that the 1999s have the xenon lights. you can also drill little holes in the bottom of the lenses it will take care of ur moisture issue. make the hole 1/8 or less make two or three of them.
I'm pretty sure it is related to the chassis number - I'm going to look into that more myself since I need to replace a turn signal housing and there are 2 different ones depending on chassis # - not sure where that is offhand but I suspect a label somewhere in the door sill or maybe on online lookup by vin will reveal it.
Just to make sure you are ready for the job, have you ever changed a headlight lens on your s80? It's no 10 minute job. You have to remove the bumper cover to change them. It's freak'in crazy that you have to take the bumper off to change a headlight lens. Some engineer needs to be shot for that one.
