My wife was on her way home the other day and started having trouble with her 2002 S80 T6. She called me and wasn't far from our mechanic so I told her to go there and I would pick her up. Now my mechanic has looked at the car, and apparently the ABS module went out and caused the front passenger and rear driver sided brakes to lock up. Now my wife tells me that she thought her car had felt funny since she left the office, wish she had stopped before she ruined the calipers, rotars, and pads. Has anyone ever seen something like this happen, my mechanic says he has never seen this before.

 

never seen a ABS module short like that, but it could.

Replace the ABS module and issue should be fixed. The ABS light should have came on it it locked everything up.

 

There is a guy in California that rebuilds ABS modules for just over a hundred. I think he makes it better than before. He know what he is doing and can save you a bundle!

This guy fixed one for me once. I wish we had someone like this for trasmissions!

"Ruined the calipers, rotors and pads"? That's hard to do, if someone is telling that, get a second opinion! Those ABS module rebuilders are all over the internet, Ebay, etc.
