Default heater core

Core is leaking. Big repair, labor wise! I have disconnected in & out hoses to heater. Objective is to connect hoses to each other & bypass heater for time being. Like everything else volvo, connections are not standard anything! Plastic "spring" clip holds plastic connection in place. Connection has a lug that fits a slot on heater core pipe, so can't just shove a pipe into it & hose clamp it.

How much pressure is there on the fluid going into the heater core????? Can I cut the heater hose, insert a pipe, hose clamp it & then rejoin/replace the hose when I replace the heater core?

You should be able to loop them together easily. I think the PSI is only like 10-15 going through the hoses. I have never checked the exact pressure.
