Last week the car was running great, went into the bank for 5 minutes and tried to start the car and it just cranking and cranking. I hook up my icarsoft scan tool and get a ECM 8010 . So I jumped the gun and installed new fuel pump and got the same issue and code. I have 50 or more psi at the fuel rail. I am stumped. Thank You in advance.
https://www.dtcdecode.com/Volvo/ECM-8010 says the code points to the bank 2 cam position sensor or related wiring is not getting the expected signal to the ECU. Not sure what lead you to a fuel pump issue. You can google around for other posts related to the ECM 8010 code. Post up how you make out.
I'll have to check that out and could be a problem because I do have a cam seal that I have to replace. That was next to do on my long list. Another thing I did notice on my scan tool that it was related to a system relay output. ( Found on CEM) I went to replace it and found this...
