Default Help..My Volvo is going to be the death of me

Okay, all of you know that I have had some minor issues with my Volvo that I have been able to fix on my own.

Well guess what, I need a new alternator mine is only putting out 30amp.

Please wish me luck, I am going to do this on my own. I got the part $250.00 Thank God for the VADIS

K,
What are you working off of here?
If it's putting out 30 amps, it's putting out. Check the voltage to make sure it puts out about 14-15 volts. The voltage regulator tells the alt how much to put out to the batt.
The local indy starter/alternator shop can help you out and give you a better deal on what you need, should you need anything. These guys are usually pretty helpful.
Getting it out is a bit awkward, take your time.

I had it tested at Autozone. I know the guy really well, so he knows not to screw with me. lol. Anyway, he told me that it should be putting out at least 120 instead of 30.
