On a long trip tonight the air stopped flowing fron the vents. The fan sonds like it is working at full blast to cool our '06 S80 but I cannot get any air out of any vents. I have tried selecting the defrost, the upper, mid, lower and auto settings with all the same results. It seems like a damper is stuck or somthing is stopping the air flow.

 

you could try checking your cabin filter

 

Are you still under warranty?

It sounds like the evaperator is freezing up.

 

It did it again tonight. It seems that there is cold air but it is not blowing out of the vents. The last time this happened, the air did blow fine the next morning (after the car sat overnight).
If the evaporator is freezing, is there a way to prevent this?

To stop it from freezing you will need to replace the Evap. temp sensor.
It is pretty easy to replace. I think the sensor is only like $30.00 or so.
