How to add r134a to 2007 volvo s80?
hi,
I was trying to add freon(r134a) to my 2007 volvo s80 last night. I found the adapter with "MAX 6NM" cap at the passenger side of engine room, but the adapter not fit to my r134a cable which with a reusable recharge hose with standard adapter. did 2007 Volvo s80 need a special adapter? did 2007 volvo s80 has both high pressure port and low pressure port?

They all have a high and low pressure port, I'm not familiar with your model, but don't mess with the ports, your r134a fefill has one size fitting on it...all r134a systems are pretty much the same, look for the smaller of the 2 refreierant lines trace them from the evaporator, in fron of radiator till you find your access port, hopethis helps.

I am not sure but i found this..maybe this might help:
4.4L Engine
-Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
-Properly discharge the air conditioning system.
-Remove the drive belt.
-Remove the cooling fan.
-Remove the A/C high and low pressure lines from the compressor.
-Remove the electrical connectors for the A/C compressor.
-Remove the compressor mounting bolts shown.

-Raise the vehicle and remove the engine undercover.
-Remove the last mounting bolt for the A/C compressor.
-Remove the right corner bracket at the core support.

-Remove the A/C compressor at opening made by removing the support bracket.

To install:
-Change and lubricate the O-rings with compressor oil.
-If necessary, top up the compressor oil.
-Install new receiver drier.
-Install the A/C compressor and tighten the mounting bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (24 Nm).
-Reconnect the compressor electrical connectors.
-Install the high and low A/C lines. Tighten the mounting bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).
-Install the cooling fan.
-Install the drive belt.
NOTE
Refrigerant must only be filled via the service valve on the Low Pressure (LP) side. A specification decal in the engine compartment lists the refrigerant capacity of the Air Conditioning (A/C) system.

134a recharge through high pressure port
Don't seem to likely to me, may be possible at an a/c shop...but as far as I know, you should never mess with that port....
I found a picture on my vida unfortunately I can't send it to you heere, look near the firwall on the passenger side near top of motor, you should see a round canister probably covered in rubber with 2 line coming out of it, your low pressure rfrigerant valve looks like an air tool connection should be in that vicinity. if you mess with the high pressure side which is near the passenger side fender near the headlights please do at your own risk...it's not thee way to go. good luck.

Here is the info right from 2012A Vida for your car here i where to look it iss concealed,
"Low pressure side (LP) service valve (2) is concealed under the plastic cover above the wiper well".
It looks like an airtool fitting and should have a cap screwed on it, possibly blue in color, that's the best I can do for ya....just be patient it's a bit confusing but you can do it if ya try.

vida software
I got mine off the internet, youdon't need thedice tool to use the software, it can be installed on your pc and you sab find a lot out about your vehicles running condition, including how to do all the repair work, I myself am considering selling some copies of software I put together but am not sure how to go about it in this site. to me it has been a lifesaver as an independant wrench. I've helped a lot of people out with the help of vida...here on the forum and privately. I don't want to just put out the link I'd rather you pm me and maybe we can work something out.
Peace
