Default Clearing warning lights

Hi All,

I am new to the forum and I need some advice on what to do. I have a 2000 S80 T6 with 127XXX miles and I had the engine replaced with a 70,000 engine. The original engine suffered a blown head. The car is running great mechanically. However, I get the Check Engine light with a Emission message, ABS and Traction light coming on the dahsboard. In addition, I get the Brake Failure message while driving (the brakes are still working) and it turns off after sometime which displays the message about Power Steering Service Required.

Again, the car drives fine but these warnings on the dashboard are annoying. I had my mechanic check the car and he said the car is fine mechanically.

Does anyone have ideas on what the source of the issue maybe are where I should start?

Could be a sensor that is causing it..hmmmm or the cars computer is having mis- communication with newer engine.
These messages came on now? or where they there when you changed the engine

You have a bad ABS module. Theres a place on the internet that if you take it out ship it, they will rebuild it for a $100 bucks.

Heres the place.

@akabond:
The Check Engine, ABS, and Traction Control lights came on intermittently when I had the original engine in the car. The Brake and Power Steering messages just started showing up about a 6 weeks ago.

@colt1911:
This is our first Volvo that we got a couple of years ago. When you said under the pump, did you mean the power steering pump?

Is the bad ABS module tied in with the Traction Control Warning light as well?

Abs and tracs are tied. mostly when that happs you can have a Check engine light also have a brake service failure message as well.
What he meant to say is that the abs module is located under the abs pump.

@gabyman97596
I went to the link you left in your previous post and I emailed Vick for more information. All the symptoms I described is what he had on his website. Thanks for the help!! I will let you know how it goes after changing the ABS Module.
