Default how do i know if the whips deployed

so i got rear ended (again!!!!) in the s80 the other day. it wasn't too hard, i was actually driving & the guy behind me was going too fast in the rain & wasn't able to stop. It needs work on the bumper, but i was wondering if there's any way that you can visualy tell if the WHIPS system deployed? i know on saab's the head rests pop out, do these do the same?
thanks, veso

Hi there,

I'm not sure if there is anything left "deployed" that would show as evidence, but something tells me that the ECU probably stores a code when WHIPS is triggered. Try taking it to a shop and have the codes checked.

Im sure if the impact was hard enough it would make the SRS airbag message come on?

If the whips was actived I believe the seat would be leaning back.
There is a pin that is designed to break when it works properly.
