Default How to Recharge A/C 2000 S80 T6

Is there anything special about re-charging the A/C on a 2000 Volvo S80 T6? I noticed that the easily accessable input at the front of the car is for the high side. The low side input is hidden down low under the power steering tank. With most air conditioners, you can simply fill up the system with a can of R134A on the low side. Right now the cold air from the vents ranges from 46 to 51 degrees and I would like to get it a little cooler. Any advice would be appreciated.

You can add some from the low side.

But with not knowing how much is in there you could over charge and make it worse.

thanks for your response. I guess the dealership must use the high side fitting with some kind of special equipment to charge the A/C which is why it is conviently located in the front and also why they hid the low side siding to prevent people from overcharging the system.

Could be very possible.
These cars they wanted to have the charged from the high side.

Volvo Cars are very picky about the freon levels.
