2000 v70 134a recharge attempt
I've scoured the threads for this precise issue and can't find it, so here goes. I'm almost certain that my (wife's) 2000 v70 is low on freon. The compressor clicks on and off every 10-15 seconds or so. Read lots of stuff here. Seemed like recharge was easy. (esp since I recharged the AC on my '68 Fury 35 years ago) Bought can-with-gauge...but then...
WHERE IS THE LOW-SIDE PORT???
I easily found the thing with the screw off top a few inches inboard of the washer filler tube, but the hose from the can doesn't fit snugly, and everything I read said the can will ONLY fit the low side. The hose end is wider than the port, so while the pin causes gas to escape, it doesn't snap into place, as its designed to do). So...
1)Is this the low side port (its got "nM6" printed on it);
2)If yes, do I need some sort of adapter?
3)If no, where is it. (I've seen references in other years to "under the ps reservoir", but I lifted it out of the way, and there's nothing remotely port-like there.)
Thanks in advance.

A picture would be nice. On our S70, '98, the refil charge port is between the compressor and ECU box. Follow the lines from the firewall and just before you hit the dryer you will see the port. The hose that I use snaps on with a quick release. Are you connecting it right? Pull the sleave on the hose end, press it on, release the sleave and it is on. Not tight, just on (it will swivel). Only connect it with the car running and the AC on max.

I'll try to get a pic of mine later.
But I can tell you that while its obvious that the hose works that way (sleeve & quick release to allow it to swivel), it does not fit that way onto this port. The hose end seems quite a bit wider than the port end.
OK...not a picture I took, but two from the DIY AC thread: The only port I can find is under the cap marked "Max 6nM". In the first picture its just to the right of the (open) washer fluid filler neck; its more obvious in the 2nd picture.

OK. Just one more question to be sure, since my reading has put me in some concern about accidentlally getting to the high pressure side. When I unscrew the cap, the valve looks just like a tire vale. That is, with the pin the in middle. Should that be the case? The freon hose end also has something of a pin as well.
