Default I replaced the radio in my 2001 s80 now the srs light is on

I replaced my radio with an aftermarket radio and the srs light came on. I remember reading somewhere that there is a software download to remove the radio from the network. Is there any truth to this? Any help would be appreciated.

You will need to pay the dealer to turn off the SRS light. As for the radio/network, probably some truth to that. I replaced my head unit a month ago and got lucky. Didn't get the SRS light and the sunroof still worked. Its worth a shot, but try leaving the negative lead on the battery disconnected for a while. Might help, might not do anything.

Try to find someone with the proper scanner to reset the warning message. The battery disconnect will not work. Where are you located?

A scanner like the PPC BSR or a Volvo DiCE will easily reset the SRS.
