I have sold my trusty and very reliable 98 S70 and am looking to buy a 2004-06 S80. Anything to look out for as I check out used ones?

Which is the better year 04, 05 or 06?

Well I would go with the 06. Some are still under warranty, and have less problems than an 04-05. Not to say that the 04-05 do have problems I am just thinking it would be more cost effective to get an 06 because of the warranty and it would be less of a headache, but that is just my opinion. Hope this helps!

 

+1 newest one you can afford. No matter what your choice, you're doing a good deed by getting yourself an 04-06, the early years S80s have more problems, but I don't think I have heard one 04-06 owner who doesn't like their car! best of luck.
