I have a 2001 Volvo S80 2.9L that is having idle fluctuations (as if it is going to die, then returns to normal idle). I am not super mechanically sound, but my dad says he thinks one of the pistons may not be firing. He believes it is an ignition coil issue. If anyone else has had this issue, please help!

 

Go to an Auto Parts store to have them read the stored codes. If its your coil, it will tell you which one isn't working. If there isn't a code, then it's most likely your ETM that needs replacing or cleaning.
