Vibrates alot while idling!?
Hi everyone,
I recently got very interested in an used 2000 s40 1.9t @ 43k miles, but I realized that whenever the car is stopped/idling, the car would just vibrates alot, especially the steering wheel. We are currently owning a 96 850 but there is obsolutely no shaking at all. Is it suppose to vibrate like that, or is there something wrong? I heard from various forums that it was caused by bad engine mounts and belts. Thank you for all ur help!
oh btw, since the owner was saying the normal halogen light bulbs went out very fast, so i was thinking about bi-xenon lights, do I have to do a conversion first or can i just plug the competible xenon bulbs in? I know this might be like general info, but I am just not sure anyways thanks again!

RE: Vibrates alot while idling!?
The vibration is ciming from bad engne mounts. The most common one is the one on the passenger side of the car front of the engine. You may have many mounts that are bad. There are 4 total the trans mount is the next common one to go bad.The there are the 2 mounts on the bottom of the engine front and rear of the car to engine.Try the one on the passenger side first thats the one that goes bad the most.
Good luck
