Intake Manifold Air Control Solenoid, Bank 2
A few months ago, I purchased a 2007 Volvo S80 with under 50K miles on the odometer. This is a super clean car, always maintained and own by a little old lady since it was new. The car has run flawlessly, but lately I have been getting a check engine light with a P0664 error code. This is for an intake manifold air control solenoid on bank 2. I can reset the code, and the car will run fine for weeks at a time without a check engine light, but I assume that this control solenoid must be getting ready to die sometime soon. My question is what exactly is this part? Looking on FCP Euro, the only part that seems similar is the Variable Intake Actuator (VOL-30777897). Is this the part I am looking for? There are two different versions of this part, one listed as upper and the other as lower. If it is the right part, which one would correspond with bank 2?
In clarification would be helpful as this is the first Volvo I have owned as well as the first European car. I've spent years working on motorcycles and Jeeps, but this is a slightly different animal...
Thanks,

What I like to do is shop on Tasca Parts (and other dealer web stores) for diagrams and the Genuine Volvo part number and name - then go to Volvo Friendly stores like FCP and IPD to see what they have for OEM/after market. If the part is only available as a genuine Volvo part, the dealer stores may actually be cheaper. Which engine does your S80 have? Worst case is you can simply give one of the vendors a call :-)
