Key & Remote Replacement
Oh My! I lost the remote (with pop-out key) for my 2004 S-80 and the dealer says it will cost $300 to replace it. He says I have to BUY some code software ($30) in addition to the key and remote and in addition, there is $110 for LABOR!
I see both type of remotes for 2004 S-80s on E-BAY for not that many bucks. Is there some way I can get one of these and program it so it will work with my car? And the key - any thoughts or advice?

I would not trust the remotes from E-bay if they don't have the PIN codes for the remote then it is garbage.
Yes the dealer has to program it with software or it will never work. The dealer has you buy the B***s.It is like that with all cars from 1999 and newer.
