"Labor Knock" at cruising RPMs?

"Labor Knock" at cruising RPMs?
Sounds like detonation. Remember my old Taurus used to sound like It on hot days sometimes.
I always run 93 gas. I get no noticeable ping at upper RPMs. Makes great power. No flashing CEL. OEM Volvo plugs with about 3000 miles on them. Fresh air filter and very recent oil change. 3000 miles on the fuel filter too.
I have a small amount of lifter sound at idle, but what 6cyl Volvo doesn't? Every other s80 I've heard does.
Car has 135000 miles on it. 2000 2.9
