Hello, my 2000 S80 will lock and unlock all doors and trunk but not the drivers door, I can hear the latch in the driver door working but the stem doesnt move, I can move it up and down, do I have a bad latch? thanks . new to the volvo, but pretty able at fixing cars.

 

We have an xc90 with the same issue.

 

Have you pulled the lock mechanism to ensure the linkage is connected?

 

since I posted this a while back I replaced the driver lock assembly and then the driver side rear lock assembly, found the best price for these items at volvo parts club, buddy is a good guy.
